(A Live Video Game Performance)
Free to Play is an Interactive video game performance where audience members get the chance to take control of the characters and ‘play’ the show for themselves.
Set in a nuclear launch shelter where the only thing that matters is stimulation, you’ll get the chance to help one man save the world or die trying.

Rusty Daniel
Rusty Daniel's (DoomerGuy) spawn point is South Carolina, and he is an alumnus of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. He’s currently earning his BFA in Acting at Carnegie Mellon University. Up next: You can see him in CMU's production of Ajax as Menelaus. Spencer Byham-Carson
Spencer Byham-Carson is a Pittsburgh born and based writer and director. He hasn't acted since playing Hamlet in Hamlet. You can read his writing on Substack @ iwouldbeembarrassed. Spencer is also one half of New Product Company, a Pittsburgh based experimental theatre company, with Pria Dahiya.

John Money
Truman Zephyr
Truman Zephyr is a lifelong New Yorker and a third-year acting student at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama. He is an alumnus of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where he majored in Drama. At CMU, Truman appears this fall as Ajax in Ajax, and his original sketch comedy will be featured in this December’s Playground Festival. When not on stage, he can usually be found writing screenplays, plays, and comedy sketches. He is deeply grateful to Cole Schubert and Anya Hilpert for this opportunity and to his parents for their constant love and support.

Madeline Scotti
Madeline Scotti is a junior at Carnegie Mellon University and is thrilled to continue her time at Fish Tank! She was recently seen as Richard II in Richard II (BADA), Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Johanna in Ghosts (CMU). She wants to thank Anya, Cole, Delaney, the boys, and her dog, Klaus. Evan Vines
Evan is a recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon, majoring in Acting. His most recent role was Medvedenko in Quantum Theatre’s adaptation of The Seagull and will be returning with Quantum to play Jake in the upcoming production of 10 out of 12. He makes music has his second album coming soon. His current favorite snack is the limited edition awesome sauce goldfish. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Dan Evans
Daniel Evans was born and raised in the beautiful peach state of Georgia and is a third year acting student at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama. He is proud Alumnus of Denmark High School, Go Danes! This fall he is appearing as Odysseus in CMU Dramas Production of Ajax. When he’s not on stage, you can find him watching movies, reading and writing, or at the climbing gym! Cole Schubert is a director, writer and producer of modern plays about the loneliness of Americans in the digital age. His work as a director includes: A Bright New Boise (CMU Drama, 2025), Bless Me, Bowie (CMU Drama, 2024), Sludge Play (CMU Drama, 2023), The Computer Room (CMU International Film Festival, 2023), Missed Connections: A Craigslist Play (CMU Studio Theatre, 2023). He is a recent graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama’s Undergraduate John Wells Directing program, and continuing his time at CMU in the Heinz College Masters of Arts Management program.

Anya Hilpert
Anya Hilpert is a recent graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama’s Undergraduate John Wells Directing program. Her passion is plays that explore obsession and how it coincides and interacts with the female experience and gender identity. Delaney Price
Delaney Price is a DC and Pittsburgh-based lighting designer and photographer. She is currently a junior in the BFA Lighting Design program at Carnegie Mellon University, with a minor in Gender Studies. At Carnegie Mellon, she is the technical coordinator for Playground: A
Festival of Independent Student Work and will design Eurydice in Spring 2026. Price recently completed her lighting design apprenticeship at Theatre Aspen, where she designed Newsies and Some Enchanted Evening, featuring Raul Esparza, and assisted on Million Dollar Quartet. When not working in theatre, Price is an avid
volunteer at the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh and is an end-of-life pet photographer with The Tilly Project. @dpricedesign.

Game Designer
Lucia Shen
Lucia is currently studying game design at Carnegie Mellon University with the Fifth Year Scholar program. They graduated last year from CMU and studied Political Science and English with a minor in Human Computer Interaction. During their undergrad, they were also president of the school’s student-run theatre club, Scotch’n’Soda Theatre, where they found a wonderful community and love for interdisciplinary creative projects. As a designer, they aim to find novel and engaging ways of storytelling through interactive and experimental media. This is the first “improv+video game+performance art experience” they’ve worked on.
